New Shan Travel Service is looking for dynamic individuals who will excel in the following positions:

Marketing Associate

Responsibilities

  • Update online content, such as airfares, tour packages, hotels and resorts, on company website, Facebook and other medium
  • Design and broadcast EDMs
  • Vet and design tour itineraries to ensure accuracy and marketability
  • Design marketing material for travel fairs and ad hoc projects
  • Initiate and execute marketing activities, including creating interactive web pages
  • Expand and maintain the integrity of the resource database
  • Proactively conceptualize marketing campaigns and execute diligently

Requirements

  • Software skills preferred: Adobe Illustrator / Fireworks / Photoshop, HTML, CSS, Actionscript, Java Script
  • Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese, and able to write well
  • Possess a keen eye for details
  • Candidates with both software skills and travel industry marketing experience are preferred, but those without tourism experience will be considered as well

Assistant Tour Manager, Tour Department

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager of Tour Department in all endeavours
  • Lead a team of product planners and counter staff
  • Be able to package, market and sell tour products
  • Proactively train staff on all aspects, such as product briefing, giving quality customer service, etc.
  • Liaise with airlines, operators, hoteliers and vendors on commercial and operational issues
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Marketing, E-commerce, Ticketing, etc.
  • Do the planning for and execution of travel fairs, and other ad-hoc projects

Requirements

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Levels or Diploma in Tourism or equivalent
  • Proficient in Abacus GDS
  • At least 6 years of travel agency experience
  • Sales driven, service-oriented and target-focused
  • Able to work on weekends, and during road shows and travel fairs
  • Senior Product Planners & Senior Tour Executives are welcome to apply

Senior Executive / Assistant Sales Manager, MICE & Incentive Dept

Responsibilities

  • Handle all MICE enquiries, presentation, planning, execution and post-sales follow up
  • Manage existing accounts and proactively source for new accounts
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Tour, Ticketing, Corporate, Marketing and E-commerce
  • Liaise with airlines, operators, hoteliers and vendors on commercial and operational issues
  • Participate in travel fairs and other ad-hoc projects

Requirements

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Levels or Diploma in Tourism or equivalent
  • Proficient in Abacus GDS
  • Knowledge of tour product development and execution
  • At least 3 years of travel agency MICE experience
  • Sales driven, service-oriented and target-focused
  • Able to work on weekends, and during road shows and travel fairs
  • Product Planners / Senior Tour Executives are welcome to apply

Product Planner (Japan / China / Europe / Others)

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in tour packaging and product development for above sectors
  • At least 6 years of working experience in the above market(s), of which 3 years are in a supervisory role (e.g. Assistant Manager)
  • Good relationships with suppliers (airlines, overseas operators, hotels)
  • Proficient in Abacus GDS
  • Able to train and brief counter staff on the above sectors
  • Excellent people management and customer relations skills
  • Careful, meticulous and excellent work ethics

Corporate Sales Manager

Responsibilities

  • Source for and acquire new SME and MNC corporate accounts, and revive dormant accounts
  • Ensure existing corporate accounts are well-serviced and be the liaison for issues between them and internal ticketing consultants
  • Meet sales targets
  • Track and ensure prompt payment by corporate accounts
  • Regularly update corporate accounts with travel industry news and regulations

Requirements

  • Minimum: Diploma holder
  • Prior experience in a travel agency is a definite advantage
  • Goal-oriented, service-oriented and good business acumen
  • Pleasant personality with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken
  • Enthusiastic and proactive
  • Able to work in a team

Web Developer (Web, E-Commerce)
Reporting directly to the IT Manager, the candidate should have ample experience programming for both front and back-end services in a sales generating environment. The candidate will be working closely with the marketing team and will be expected to manage web functionality and usability, enhancing them with new technologies wherever possible. He / She will also need to manage and analyze sales, order processing, ticketing and booking data. Prior experience in the travel industry is advantageous.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer-related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in programming
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Fireworks, Flash, Photoshop)
  • Strong skills in web technologies like HTML / XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML
  • Strong programming skills in C#, ASP.Net programming, MS SQL queries, PHP, Ajax and Web Service API
  • Knowledge of Windows server maintenance & setup
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of CRM and CMS systems will be advantageous
  • Good grasp of e-commerce business processes (online retailing)
  • A team player, able to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Possess strong initiative and self-motivated
  • Only Singaporeans or PR need apply

Ticketing Executives / Officers (Corporate / Retail / Wholesale Dept)
Responsibilities & Requirements
  • Responsible for handling ticket issuance and coordinating ticket delivery
  • Minimum GCE 'O' Levels with certified Travel Management certificate or equivalent
  • 3 years relevant experience in airlines / travel agencies
  • Dynamic, patient and pleasant personality
  • Working knowledge of Abacus / Amadeus
  • Sales driven with the ability to solve issues
  • Willing to work on shift duties and weekends

Tour Operations Executives / Officers (USA / Europe / Asia)
Tour Executives / Officers (USA / Europe / Asia)

Responsibilities & Requirements
  • Minimum GCE 'O' Levels with certified Travel Management certificate or equivalent
  • 2 years of relevant experience in telephone & counter sales
  • Working knowledge of Abacus
  • Good knowledge of tour products and tour leading
  • Pleasant personality and sales-driven
  • Knowledge of Open Office or Microsoft Office
  • Willing to work on shift duties and weekends
  • Strong knowledge & experience in USA (GV2) / Europe market and program
